Interoperability of the rail system

Based on the decision of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing, we are authorized, as Notified Body 1020, for conformity assessment of products specified in Government Regulation No. 133/2005 Coll., On Technical Requirements for Operational and Technical Interoperability of the European Rail System, as amended.

Technical and Test Institute for Construction Prague is responsible for the assessment of conformity of specified products with the technical requirements for conformity assessment of interoperability components and subsystem verification in relation to the technical specifications for interoperability:

  • Commission Decision 2011/275/EU as amended by Commission Decision 2012/464/EU concerning a technical specification for interoperability relating to the “infrastructure” subsystem of the trans-European conventional rail system;
  • Commission Decision 2008/2017/EC as amended by Commission Decision 2012/464/EU concerning a technical specification for interoperability relating to the “infrastructure” sub-system of the trans-European high-speed rail system;
  • Commission Decision 2008/164/EC as amended by Commission Decision 2012/464/EU concerning the technical specification for interoperability relating to persons with reduced mobility in the trans-European conventional and high-speed rail system.

Technical and Test Institute for Construction Prague is authorized to assess all elements of the infrastructure subsystem of the European conventional and high-speed rail system.

Toys

Each toy marketed in the European Union must meet the technical requirements of European Directive 2009/48/EC concerning the safety of toys (implemented in Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., On Technical Requirements for Toys, as amended). Toys must bear the CE marking and contain information for consumers, EC declaration of conformity and technical documentation.

Based on the notifying authority of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing, Technical and Test Institute for Construction Prague (TZÚS Praha, s.p.) is authorized, as Notified Body 1020, for conformity assessment, certification, and evaluation and testing of all types of toys. We also offer comprehensive services in the following fields:

  • testing of all security features;
  • mechanical and physical tests;
  • flammability tests;
  • health safety tests of toy materials (migration and total levels of risk elements, primary aromatic amines, formaldehyde, phthalates and other organic substances).

For customers, a third party review is a sign of reliability of the information declared by the manufacturer, importer or distributor of toys. Test results and certificates are used by manufacturers and importers to demonstrate conformity, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., On Technical Requirements for Toys.


Lifts

Before placing lifts or safety components on the market, it is necessary to ensure their assessment using some of the conformity assessment procedures under Section 3 of Government Regulation No. 27/2003 Coll., as amended, laying down technical requirements for lifts (hereinafter referred to as GR 27/2003 Coll.), and in accordance with Directive 95/16/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Based on the decision of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing, Technical and Test Institute for Construction Prague (TZÚS Praha, s.p.) is authorized as Authorized Body 204 and Notified Body 1020. Conformity assessment for lifts is provided in the following range:

  • EC type examination in accordance with Annex 5B to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Final inspection in accordance with Annex 6 to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Verification of conformity of each lift by Authorized Body 204 in accordance with Annex 10 to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Lift quality assurance in accordance with Annex 12 to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Comprehensive lift quality assurance in accordance with Annex 13 to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Quality assurance of lift production in accordance with Annex 14 to GR 27/2003 Coll.

Conformity assessment for safety components in accordance with Annex 4 to GR 27/2003 Coll. is provided in the following range:

  • EC type examination of safety components in accordance with Annex 5A to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Quality assurance of safety components in accordance with Annex 8 to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Comprehensive quality assurance of safety components in accordance with Annex 9 to GR 27/2003 Coll.
  • Assessment of conformity of safety components with the examined type in accordance with Annex 11 to GR 27/2003 Coll.


Products with respect to noise emissions

For products marketed in the Czech Republic and in the EU, machinery manufacturers and importers are obliged to demonstrate conformity with the requirements for noise emissions displayed by equipment used outdoors, under Government Regulation No. 9/2002 Coll., as amended, laying down technical requirements for products with respect to noise emissions, in accordance with Directive 2000/14/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Based on the decision of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing, we provide, as Authorized Body 204, the following services within this activity:

  • evaluation of technical documentation of the product for conformity assessment, and performance of subsequent checks to verify and confirm conformity duration;
  • verification of the unit / product on the manufacturer or importer premises;
  • complete ensuring of production management system.

The range of equipment for which maximum permitted noise emission values are determined is specified in Annex 1 to Government Regulation No. 9/2002 Coll. (e.g. compaction machines, travelling and tower cranes, dozers, hydraulic excavators, compressors, loaders, motor cultivators, welding generators, etc.).

The range of equipment for which only the requirement for the indication of the guaranteed sound power level is determined is specified in Annex 2 to Government Regulation No. 9/2002 Coll. (e.g. floor saws, snowcats, belt conveyors, belt construction site saws, brush cutters, pipelayers, waste collection vehicles, cultivators, outdoor vacuum cleaners, water pumps, concrete mixer trucks, etc.).
